The Show was opened by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Councillor Graham Falconer, and a celebratory cake was made by Louise Embling of Plain \u2018n\u2019 Fancy cakes.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ninety-five year old Les Barber continued his success at the Show by winning 5 cups; achieving the&nbsp; highest points in both the Vegetables &amp; Flower classes; best roses; best vase of flowers; and the Floral Cup, awarded for the most points in the floral art section, which included a class&nbsp; for an arrangement entitled \u2018Over the Rainbow\u2019, and also one with the theme \u2018Winter\u2019.&nbsp; Other cups were awarded as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most points in the Dahlia section &#8211; Les Wallace<br>Best Begonia &#8211; Bill Webb<br>Best Runner Beans in show &#8211; Cathy Neller<br>Best Carrots in show &#8211; Norman Powers<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winners of the Children\u2019s classes were:<br>13-16yrs &#8211;
